Demand Bolloré divest his Universal Music Group shares

Vincent Bolloré is the largest shareholder of Universal Music Group (UMG), the biggest music company in the world.

Artists represented by Universal Music Group and fans are unknowingly funneling money to Vincent Bolloré — under fire for some of the most serious accusations of corruption and abuse in modern history.

UMG represents over 50% of all music consumed globally, including artists like:

  • Drake

  • Lady Gaga

  • Kendrick Lamar

  • Billie Eilish

  • Selena Gomez

  • The Weeknd

  • Ariana Grande

  • Olivia Rodrigo

  • And hundreds more

Many of these artists are outspoken advocates for social justice, equality, and human rights. But right now, their art is padding Bolloré’s pockets.

In March 2025, eleven courageous African organizations took legal action against Bolloré with the French National Financial Prosecutor's Office.

They’ve accused Bolloré of extensive money laundering allegations and they want billions in profits returned to the communities he’s destroyed.

This isn't about boycotting UMG or cancelling artists. It's about truth, standing with victims and reducing Bolloré’s power and influence over the music industry.

The Global Billionaire Accountability Project is led by The Restitution for Africa Collective (CRAF) to expose how extreme wealth and corporate power can enable exploitation, corruption, and impunity on a global scale. While many billionaires operate behind closed doors, their influence can be felt in our economies, media, governments and even our music.

One prominent example of unchecked power is Vincent Bolloré, a French billionaire whose companies have been accused of facilitating a network of bribery, human rights abuses, environmental destruction, money laundering, press interference and more. His empire stretches from African plantations to global newsrooms and pop music.

Victims, watchdogs, and community leaders are speaking up to ensure this story isn’t buried like so many before it.

This campaign begins with music, but it doesn’t end there. Our goal is to expose exploitation and unlawful behavior among the world’s billionaire oligarchs and hold them accountable.

The era of silence is over.
